A: HMC always offers top trade-in value to our clients using the latest in real-time market value with the end user in mind. Here are some basics on how to get a little more value from your vehicle.

  1. Bring your vehicle clean. It doesn’t need to be fully detailed, however a quick wash and vacuum often is all you need to give your car a great first impression to our buyers.
  2. Bring both keys. Every buyer wants to have 2 keys when they purchase, and the cost of keys and programming isn’t cheap anymore. These are considerations we need to make when evaluating a vehicle.
  3. Spare Tire, Jack and amenities. It may sound simple but make sure that your vehicle has EVERYTHING it came with originally. Make sure that your vehicle has all the headrests, headphones if equipped, storage covers, floormats. These little details matter and need to be considered as the next owner will expect the car to be complete.
  4. Copy of your original manuals and MSRP. All the pedigree adds value and can even provide details to our buyer on extra packages purchased that increase the value.
  5. Service records are worth their weight in gold. If you have a complete service history of the vehicle it can add value as our buyers can then give credit for maintenance that has been carried out and may not be required to properly service your vehicle. The more the better.
  6. Cars don’t sell but stories do! We love to know about the history of your car, where and when it was purchased, and special details add value to your vehicle. The more we know, the more information we have to share with our team and its next owner.
